REVIEW: iconvienna 2015 – The 11th European Business and Investment Forum

Already for the 11th time high level decision makers from politics, business, science, International organizations and diplomacy and region representatives from more than 50 countries gathered at the 11th European Business and Investment Forum from April 22 – 24, 2015 in Vienna for exclusive networking and know how exchange.


Following the motto “MAKE CONTACTS TO CONTRACTS” latest trends and future topics for regional cooperation through innovation and entrepreneurship in Europe were discussed at the conference and youLEAD – young leaders dialogue at the Federal Economic Chamber during the 3-days forum.


Renowned international experts from USA, European Commission, Austria, Slovenia, Italy and Serbia, such as: Wilhelm Molterer, Vice President EIB European Investment Bank, Hugo-Maria Schally, Head of Eco-Innovation European Commission, Ana Bovan, President Central European Development Forum Serbia, Prof. Dianne H.B. Welsh, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Founding Director of the Entrepreneurship Program at The University of North Carolina Greensboro, Peter Canciani and Alberto Cozzi, Project Managers from CEI Central European Initiative, Prof. Stane Bozicnik, University of Maribor, Envoy Willy Kempel, BMEIA  Federal Ministry Europe, Integration, Foreign Affairs, Erich Foglar, President Austrian Trade Union Federation, shared their expertise and views.


The Diplomatic Corps for Latin America and the Caribbean, chaired by H.E. Ramon Quinones, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Austria, brought Latin American atmosphere to the Cocktail Reception at the Vienna City Hall including rum, wine, cigar and coffee tasting and folkloric show from Nicaragua. Member of the Vienna City Council Tanja Wehsely and iconvienna president Gerhard Hrebicek were pleased to welcome around 350 guests from more than 50 countries for exclusive networking.


Finally, the site visit at Vienna Central Station (Hauptbahnhof Wien) offered a “special backstage tour” of Austria´s most prestigious infrastructure project.
